Shutthefrontdoor opened his winter 2014 campaign in style today winning his first race back after a summer break. The Irish Grand National winner of 2014 asserted over his rivals and won cosily by 5l and 8l in soft to heavy ground at Carlisle over 3 miles.

It will be interesting in the coming months to see if he will shape up to be a genuine Gold Cup candidate in 2015.
